I want to get a Project Management Certification. Where do I start and which one applies to me?

The best place to start is http://www.pmi.org/Certification/. Under each certification you can learn more about the qualifications and testing requirements.

How do I log on to the website?

Your username and password are the same credentials you use for the PMI Global (pmi.org) website.

When/where are Chapter meetings?

PMI Central Alabama Chapter (PMICAC) meetings are typically held during lunch hours on the second or third Tuesday of each month. For special occasions, PMICAC may conduct evening chapter meetings and networking events. Please see the Events section of our website for current events

The PMI Central Alabama Chapter (PMICAC) may host many special events which include the PM Career Showcase and the annual Professional Development Day which usually offer PMICAC member discounts. 

Is the PMI Central Alabama Chapter affiliated with any other organizations or groups?

Yes, the PMI Central Alabama Chapter currently hosts one subsidiary group. The subsidiary is the Alabama Financial Institution Special Interest Group for Project Management (ALFISIG).  

How can I submit an article for the Monthly Newsletter?

Not only is this a great way to earn PDUs, it also provide you and outlet to share your ideas, experiences and advice.  You may submit a 2 page Project Management related article to the VP of Communications, vpcommunications

How do I post/view jobs on the PMI Central Alabama Chapter website?

We highly encourage everyone to use the 'Careers' tab on our website.  You can post available jobs and search current opportunities. To post a job, click on the 'Careers' tab, then 'Post a Job'. Simply fill out the form and click 'save'. To view current opportunities click on the 'Career' tab and then 'View Jobs'.
