PMI Central Alabama Chapter Spring 2019 PMI-ACP® Exam Prep Course
The PMICAC is excited to announce we will be offering the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP®) in May! Registration is now open!
If you’re experienced using agile approaches, have good collaboration skills, eagerly embrace complexity and thrive on rapid response times, then your talents are in demand.
The PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP®) formally recognizes your knowledge of agile principles and your skill with agile techniques. It will make you shine even brighter to your employers, stakeholders and peers.
The PMI-ACP® is our fastest growing certification, and it’s no wonder. Organizations that are highly agile and responsive to market dynamics complete more of their projects successfully than their slower-moving counterparts — 75 percent versus 56 percent — as shown in our 2015 Pulse of the Profession® report.
The PMI-ACP spans many approaches to agile such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, extreme programming (XP) and test-driven development (TDD.) So it will increase your versatility, wherever your projects may take you.
- Course Goal: Students will earn the required 21 hours required on agile practices (includes study time outside of class)
- Timing of Classes:
- A total of 5 3-hr. sessions, held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in May
- Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays May 7-May 21
- Time: 5:30 - 8:30pm
- Location: Regions Operating Center (2090 Parkway Office Cir, Hoover, AL 35244)
- Instructors are PMI-ACP certified

The prep course does not include registration or fees for the certification exam. For more information and to insure eligibility for the credential, please review the requirements for the exam at pmi.org website. Additionally, food and beverages will not be provided. Students may bring their own food and beverage.
*Students must join the PMI Organization (PMI.org) and the PMI Central Alabama Chapter (PMICAC) at least 3 business days prior to enrolling in class in order to receive member pricing. Membership in the national PMI organization (PMI.org) conveys multiple benefits including tools, templates, digital access to PMBOK®, a national network and PDU Advantage program. The PMI.org annual membership is $129 for an individual with student rate of $32 and retiree rate of $65 as described on the PMI.org website. The local chapter membership for PMI Central Alabama Chapter (PMICAC) is one rate of $25 per year and requires PMI Organization (PMI.org) membership. PMICAC Chapter membership provides local PDU, networking and educational opportunities.
