PMICAC Scholarship Application

The Project Management Institute Central Alabama Chapter (PMICAC) has created a certification scholarship for PMI credentials. This scholarship can help college students, professionals, and those in between jobs obtain a PMI credential such as the PMP®, CAPM®, PgMP® or any other PMI credential found at https://www.pmi.org/certifications. All scholarships, each worth $500 maximum, to be awarded each year to two individuals as chosen by the PMI Central Alabama Certification Scholarship Program Advisor Committee. The information below outlines basic eligibility requirements, submission requirements, and evaluation criteria.

Basic Eligibility:

Candidates for the scholarship must meet the following basic requirements:

  1. The candidate must be in the process of obtaining a PMI certification.
  2. The candidate must have applied for a project management certification course or has completed a course and is in the process of taking the relevant exam. The scholarship funds can be used to help pay for the cost of an exam preparation course or for the cost of the exam.
  3. The candidate must be a PMI Central Alabama Chapter member in good standing and a resident of the geographic area served by the PMI Central Alabama Chapter.
  4. The candidate must not have been the previous recipient of any PMI Central Alabama scholarships.
  5. The candidate must show a demonstrated enthusiasm for and strong interest in the field of project management.
  6. Submissions will be accepted from July 6 - August 14, 2026 at midnight.

PMICAC Certification Scholarship Application

PMI Central Alabama's current practice is to annually award certification scholarships of $500 to two individuals. The chapter reserves the right to make changes without notice.

Each applicant is required to respond to each question fully.

Terms & Conditions

1. If awarded, scholarship activity must begin within one year of the scholarship being granted.

2. Not all applicants will be awarded a scholarship.

3. If awarded the scholarship, the awarded recipient will authorize the use of their name and photos to announce and promote the scholarship on the PMI of Central Alabama websites and other communication methods (i.e., newsletters, social media).
