February 2020 Chapter Meeting

Speakers: April Clark, Reach & Teach / Mindy Wyatt, PMIef Liaison
Topic: Reach and Teach Q & A

Reach and Teach (https://www.reachandteach.rocks) is a non-profit organization that works with high school students to plan, market, and execute a professional rock concert at their school. It serves as a fundraiser for the schools, and the students gain real-world experience. As you can imagine, this is a very large project for the students, and it can be overwhelming.

Since Reach & Teach’s presentation in August 2019, we have been working with April to determine ways our Chapter can get involved. In this meeting, we are going to work together to answer a few of their toughest questions. We will have a room full of experts and we know you will have many great ideas to share.

Format: This will be an interactive meeting. (Bring business cards!) We hope you will enjoy this opportunity to give back, network, and show some love.

Here's what to expect:

  • Each table will have 1 to 2 questions to answer as a group. After April speaks for just a moment, you will have about 15-20 minutes to discuss and come up with your best advice. Then, each table will have a few minutes to showcase your problem and response.
  • We will be recording the responses so that Reach and Teach can share this as they begin new projects. We will be asking for one person at each table to be willing to be on camera as a spokesperson. As you prepare for the meeting, please consider volunteering for this role. (If you aren’t a spokesperson, you will not be on camera.)
  • Our goal is to answer 12 questions. We will ask you to fill the first 6 tables before we open other tables. (Want to see the questions? Click here.)

We will be on a tight schedule, but we also want to have fun! Use this an opportunity to network and get to know someone in the Chapter. We challenge to shake it up a bit - sit with people you don't know, and we promise you'll have met a friend before you leave.

See you on February 18th!
