ALFISIG April 2022 Meeting
Topic: “So You Got Your PMP… What’s Next?”
Presenter: Diane Weldon, PMP, 13 additional professional certifications and Master’s Degree.
PMI’s PMP is one of the best project management certification to achieve for Project Managers. Once you have your PMP, you have to maintain it with continuing education. Why not work towards another professional certification while earning PDUs for your PMP?
Bio: It was love at first sight, for Diane Weldon, when she took her first Project Management course in grad school. After getting her master’s degree, while working as a Branch Manager at Compass Bank, she immediately pursued a career as a Project Manager. Once she became a Project Manager at AmSouth Bank (now Regions), she obtained her first project management certification - PMI’s PMP. While studying and obtaining the PMP, she found that she really enjoyed taking certification exams. So, she is currently working towards her 14th professional certification and doesn’t plan on stopping any time soon. She hopes there isn’t an age maximum for obtaining professional certifications once she retires.
