ALFISIG January 2023 Meeting
Topic: Managing Change: Leveraging the “Nature of People"
A multitude of excellent processes and protocols for implementing change have been developed. To gain maximum effectiveness, organizations need to develop and maintain a meaningful communications process. In our experience, when sponsors, advocates, and targets leverage the “nature of people” by employing behavior flexing in their execution of change program activities, the following results are more likely to be realized:
• Change programs will go faster and smoother
• Change will “stick”
• Employee engagement is improved
Whenever we enter a new situation or send someone else into a new situation, behavior styles strongly affect the outcomes. The more we know and embrace these principles in our actions and decisions, the better the outcome. This presentation will describe how to begin flexing your style today to improve your relationships and become a stronger, more effective leader.
Learning Objectives:
• Define a framework to develop and maintain a meaningful communications process
• Identify your own natural communications style
• Identify the communication styles of others
• Recognize communication style differences
• Describe strategies to flex your communication behavior to improve
engagement
