Speaker: Tabitha Leech, Executive VP, Head of Technology Project Management, Risks, & Governance at Regions Bank
Speaker Bio:
Executive Vice President, Operations and Technology Project Management & Reporting
Tabitha Leech joined Regions in June 2006. She currently serves as the Head of Operations and Technology Project Management Office & Reporting Team. Tabitha has served in this capacity since Spring of 2019. As part of her role, she is responsible for the technology project management office, the project management administration tool, and reporting requirements with a focus on capacity, technology metrics, utilization, and strategic alignment of project efforts consuming technology resources. These elements feed department and Board communications surrounding these efforts. In her time in Technology since 2019 she has also previously had responsibility for IT Risk, Governance, Change Management, and IT Vendor Management. Tabitha has held several various roles through her 17 years. Before moving to Technology, she held the role as the Head of Third Party Risk Management where she reported into the Chief Risk Officer and had responsibility for the governance structure, development, and oversight of third party management along with the risk assessment process for third parties that Regions was engaging. She also previously held a role as the Head of Regulatory Operations, under Enterprise & Operational Risk Management, where she served as the central point of contact for the bank’s prudential regulators of the Federal Reserve, State of Alabama, and FDIC.
Tabitha also held positions in Credit Process & Performance Management, Problem Assets Quality Assurance, and Business Banking Credit.
Before joining Regions in 2006, Tabitha was a Financial Specialist with Wachovia.
Tabitha received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama. She is on the Board of Regions Foundation and a MOMENTUM Women’s Leadership alumni member. Tabitha has two daughters, Eva, who is 13 and Cora, who is 4 years old.
