Dale Jeanes
Dale Jeanes is a seasoned audit and leadership professional with over three decades of experience in financial services. He served as the chief audit executive for Truist Financial and its predecessor, BB&T, retiring in 2022 after 33 years in the industry, including 20 years as Chief Auditor. Following his retirement, Dale pursued his passion for leadership development by earning a Leadership and Performance Coaching Certification from Brown University’s School of Professional Studies. He now serves as a leadership development coach, specializing in supporting internal audit, risk management, and finance professionals.
Dale has held numerous leadership roles within the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), including serving as President of the NC Triad Chapter, Chair of the IIA Financial Services Advisory Board, and Chair of the inaugural IIA Financial Services Exchange. He is a CIA, CFSA, and CCSA, as well as a CPA in North Carolina. Additionally, Dale is an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation and a certified EQ-i 2.0 and EQ360 emotional intelligence practitioner.
