Business Process Standardization – An Essential Element in Enterprise Project Management

Ways of Working

Enterprise project management, or delivery of a solution that supports the needs of multiple business units or companies, brings unique challenges that differ from traditional project management whose solution may only support one business entity.  A key challenge in enterprise project management involves standardization of differing business processes, workflows, and data (across all the business units) into a common framework to support enterprise goals.  This presentation identifies some best practices and lessons learned from a recent enterprise project management project at a major utility company.
