ALFISIG September Meeting – What Really Motivates Us?

Ways of Working

What Really Motivates Us?

Understanding Intrinsic and Extrinsic Motivation

Why do some goals energize us while others feel like a constant struggle? The answer often lies in what truly motivates us.

In this engaging 60-minute workshop, leadership coach and speaker Cindy Collier, Collier Leadership Consulting, LLC, explores the powerful difference between intrinsic motivation (the drive that comes from within) and extrinsic motivation (external rewards and incentives). Participants will discover why understanding motivation matters for personal growth, leadership, and everyday life.

The session will also introduce a simple and insightful tool that helps individuals identify what truly drives their energy, engagement, and satisfaction at work and in life.

Participants will learn:

· The key differences between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation

· Why some rewards inspire action while others fall flat

· How personal values influence motivation

· How to better understand what motivates you - and the people around you

Whether you're a leader, a professional, or simply curious about what fuels motivation, this workshop will provide practical insights to help you increase engagement, align your work with what matters most, and better understand what drives people.
